" โธมัสทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า พวกข้าพระองค์ไม่ทราบว่าพระองค์จะเสด็จไปที่ไหน พวกข้าพระองค์จะรู้จักทางนั้นได้อย่างไร พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "เราเป็นทางนั้น เป็นความจริงและเป็นชีวิต ไม่มีผู้ใดมาถึงพระบิดาได้นอกจากจะมาทางเรา" (ยน. 14:5-6).
เราต้องการทิศทางให้ชีวิตเราเองหรือเปล่า? พระเยซูไม่ใช่แค่หนทางไปสู่ชีวิตนิรันดร์เท่านั้น แต่ว่าเป็นหนทางสำหรับทุกอย่างในชีวิตของเราในโลกนี้ด้วย เราต้องการที่จะรู้วิธีที่จะปลดหนี้หรือเปล่า ให้เรามองไปที่พระบิดาผ่านทางพระเยซู หรือว่าเราต้องการรู้ทางที่จะพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ให้ดีขึ้นไหม หรือว่าหนทางที่จะเอาชนะอะไรก็ตามที่เราติดมัน พวกสิ่งไม่ดีทั้งหลาย หรือว่าหนทางที่จะมีชีวิตที่สงบสุขและมีความชื่นชมยินดี เมื่อเรารู้จักพระเยซู เราก็ได้รู้จักทางนั้น ไม่ว่าอะไรที่เราต้องเผชิญในทุกวันนี้ หรือว่าอะไรที่เป็นอุปสรรคของเรา พระเจ้าจะทรงทำทางให้ชีวิตของเราแม้ว่าเราอาจจะมองไม่เห็นทางเลยก็ตาม พระเจ้าทรงรักเรามากจนพระองค์อยากที่จะเสริมกำลังเราและทำให้เรามีชีวิตแห่งชัยชนะอย่างเต็มที่ นั่นเป็นสาเหตุที่พระเจ้าส่งพระเยซูลงมาในโ,กนี้ เพื่อสำแดงแก่เราว่าหนทางที่จะมีชีวิตที่ครบบริบูรณ์นั้นเป็นอย่างไร ให้เราเปิดใจของเราออกและรับเอาทุกสิ่งที่พระเจ้ามีไว้ให้เราในทางพระเยซู และเมื่อเราทำเช่นนั้น เราจะได้เห็นพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้านำเราในหนทางแห่งชัยชนะในทุกด้านของชีวิต
