มองตรงไปข้างหน้า
“ให้ตาของเจ้ามองตรงไปข้างหน้า” (สภษ 4:25 ).
ชีวิตของเราจะดำเนินไป ในทิศทางที่เรามักจะคิดถึงทิศทางอยู่บ่อยๆ เมื่อความคิดของเราครุ่นคิดอยู่กับอดีต มันจะเป็นตัวกีดขวางการเติบโตของเรา การที่เราคิดถึงอดีตเป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้เราถอยหลัง ทำให้เรามัวแต่คิดถึงถึงสิ่งเก่าซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีก แต่เมื่อเรามองตรงไปข้างหน้า ที่อนาคตที่พระเจ้าทรงวางแผนไว้ให้เรา สิ่งนี้จะทำให้เราก้าวต่อไปข้างหน้าได้ เหมือนกับการที่เราขับรถ ถ้าหากว่าเรามองแต่กระจกส่องหลังเราคงไปไหนไม่ได้ไกล เราคงเอาแต่มองว่าเราผ่านอะไรมาแล้วบ้าง มีอะไรที่อยู่ข้างหลังเราบ้าง แต่เมื่อเราให้ตาของเราติดตรึงกับอนาคต อดีตก็จะจางหายไป ให้เราเลือกที่จะมองตรงไปข้างหน้า ด้วยการให้อภัยคนที่ทำให้เราเจ็บช้ำ ไม่ว่าจะนานเป็นปีแล้วหรือว่าเพิ่งเกิดขึ้นเมื่อวานก็ตาม ให้เราเลือกที่จะมองตรงไปข้างหน้าและก้าวต่อไปในชีวิตที่เต็มไปด้วยพระพรที่พระเจ้าทรงจัดเตรียมไว้ให้เรา
อธิษฐาน
พระบิดาเจ้า ลูกขอบคุณสำหรับของขวัญแห่งการให้อภัยที่ทำให้ลูกสามารถลืมอดีตไปและมองตรงไปข้าง โปรดสำแดงให้ลูกเห็นว่า สิ่งใดในใจของลูก ที่อาจทำให้ลูกไม่อาจก้าวต่อไปข้างหน้ากับพระองค์ สิ่งใดที่ขัดขวางไม่ให้ลูกก้าวไปรับทุกสิ่งที่พระองค์เตรียมไว้ให้ลูก ขอโปรดสำแดงแก่ลูกด้วย ในพระนามพระเยซู เอเมน

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
You life will go in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. When your thoughts are focused on the past, it hinders your growth. Your thoughts of the past hold you back, causing you to relive those events over and over again. But when you look straight ahead at the future God has planned for you, then you can move forward. It's just like driving a car. If your rearview mirror were as big as your windshield, you wouldn't get very far. You would just sit there looking at what's behind you. But when you fix your eyes on your future, the past disappears. Choose today to look straight ahead by forgiving those who have hurt you in your life. And it doesn't matter if it was years ago or just yesterday. Choose today to look straight ahead and move forward into the life of blessing God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of forgiveness that allows me to release the past so I can look straight ahead. Show me, today, if there is anything in my heart that would keep me from moving forward into everything You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
